We Surveyed Silver Saddle - You Responded!

Our Annual HOA Meeting and Picnic is being held on Sunday, June 26 from 4 - 6 p.m.

Just as we did last year, we will be hosting the picnic in the cul-de-sac of Silver Saddle Court. This year’s menu will include 100% beef Vienna dogs, Fire Dogs, Polish sausage dogs, and good ol’ fashioned Ball Park hotdogs! Top your dog with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle relish, sauerkraut, and/or cheese sauce! It’s a doggone good hot-dog spread!

Want to spice things up further? We’ll have pizza eats as wel!  ring the kids to enjoy the Giant Bounce House … and once again THANK YOU to local realtor Suzanne Kropf for sponsoring Yettie’s Hawaiian Shave Ice … which was a HUGE hit last year!

We have a “new twist” we hope will add to your fun and relaxation. Come empty handed! Don’t bring anything but a beach chair and an appetite. We’ve got the calories covered! Truthfully, come empty handed!

More Than A Home - A Lifestyle
With acres of trails and 214 large beautiful estate lots, Silver Saddle Ranch (SSR) offers homeowners an idyllic living experience surrounded by friendly neighbors and close-by amenities.

The established neighborhood boasts mature trees and landscaping with a trail system that offers residents an opportunity to stay active in while exploring nature. SSR has a sense of community with residents that display a pride of ownership in their homes and in the community.

SSR residents look out for each other and we support occasional social events (when COVID19 is over) where neighbors and children can share mutual interests, skills and activities. We welcome ideas or opportunities to better get to know one another for support and friendship.

Silver Saddle Ranch is a beautiful community in Poway, CA. Located north of the city of San Diego, Poway is known as “The City in the Country” and prides itself on the fact that over half of the City’s 39.4 square-mile area is preserved as dedicated open space. Poway offers an outstanding school district, arts and culture, a broad range of dining and shopping opportunities, beautiful parks, over 82 miles of trails.

It has come to our attention that Grossmont Hospital Foundation and Sharp HospiceCare are building a small hospice facility named Moore Mountainview Hospice Home on the corner of Valle Verde Drive and Espola Road. The facility is scheduled to open in 2023, and will have six patient bedrooms as well as common living and kitchen/dining areas, and a nurses station.

From our sources at the City, we understand that, due to the small size (6 beds), the project falls within existing zoning requirements. The hospice permit is granted by the State (not the City), and the City has no power to oppose it. The City is in process of preparing a fact sheet about the project, and when it is available GVCA will be sharing it (or a link) with all of their members. We will also post it here, on our SSR website. In the meanwhile, if residents are looking for more details about the project it is suggested that you contact the City directly. You can find an informational video here

If you plan to refinance your home, your escrow officer may ask you for a HOA Statement or a Statement of Dues Document. If refinancing, selling or buying in SSR, your HOA assessments/dues must be up to date. Here is a copy of the document you may need for your refinance process.  A homeowners status of dues paid or owed can be optained by emailing our HOA treasurer at treasurer@silversaddle.org.

To sell a home, information regarding the HOA requirements can be found withn a document that your escrow company may request, similar to this HOA Escrow Document. Other items may be required as well. Documents can be requested from ssrhoa@yahoo.com.

Buyers, welcome! We are excited to have you as part of our community! Within the above HOA Escrow Document sample,  you'll see that we want to get to know you. So, we'll need your name and contact information so that we can reach out to you and welcome you with information about Silver Saddle Ranch.

What we do

SSR HOA Preserves Quality

Our HOA Exists to Preserve the Quality of our Neighborhood

The general purpose of our SSR HOA is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the residence lots known as Silver Saddle Ranch. More specifically, the HOA's primary purposes are to preserve the quality of our neighborhood, maintain its high standards of living, and thereby, ensuring value in our property investment.

A number of ‘areas’ under the SSR HOA purview include construction project approvals, vehicle storage, trail usage, etc.

To maintain SSR architectural quality control to preserve the quality and beauty of our neighborhood, SSR has an Environmental Review Committee with a simple process to quickly review construction plans to help you ensure that your projects improve the value of your home and the community within the guidelines of the SSR CC&Rs

Guidelines of homeowner projects requiring an architectural review application can be found in Article 2 of the SSR CC&Rs. In general, all external design or construction projects require HOA approval through this simple application process. This includes the building or changing of external walls, buildings, outbuildings, constructing new patios, structures, fences, porches, solar panel installation, building swimming pools or recreation courts, in addition altering of the look and feel of a home through external paint color changes. Construction plans and specifications showing the exact location of structures or improvements must be approved in writing by the Association.

To submit a project for review, fill out a request form and email it to our Environmental Review Committee at ssrhoa@yahoo.com for approval.
